The more you sit, the greater your chance of dying.

In a study by the American Cancer Society women who sat for at least six hours a day were 34% more likely to die mostly from heart disease and stroke. And this was true even for those who were regular exercisers.

Women who did the least exercise and who sat at least six hours a day were almost twice as likely to die as those who did the most exercise. Men were 1.5 times more likely to die.
